If your list of things to do feels overwhelming, try drawing circles for each task on a sheet of paper. Write each task in a separate circle.
Notice the empty space between the circles and color it yellow. Breathe as you look at the empty space. Look at each task in the context of the space around it. Pick the task that wants to go first and look at it in a friendly way. Imagine it done and notice the feeling. Say “It is done, thank you.” Then go ahead and do it.
Now reward yourself by spending a few minutes playing in the empty space. Breathe, draw doodles, color.
Proceed to the next task circle.
Enjoy the fun.

I love the idea of delineating and elaborating both the task and the space of procrastination. I don’t often get overwhelmed by my task list, but I do often procrastinate and leave things undone for too long. Guess I will make the task of fixing my outdoor faucet flowery and beautiful and get it done today. It really will be lovely to have done
